Sword of the Spirit – They Did Not Inquire #1005

SWORD OF THE SPIRIT                                                                        1005

 “They Did Not Inquire”

So the men took some of their provisions, but did not ask counsel from the Lord. (Joshua 9:14)

Joshua and the Israelites had just come from great victories at Jericho and Ai when they were deceived by the Gibeonites into making a covenant treaty with them. They were deceived because they relied upon their worldly wisdom and did not inquire of the Lord.

Our lives are characterized by constant decision-making. What path of study should I take? Should I go to college? Whom should I marry? Should I take that job? … The list is endless, you get the idea.

God’s Word instructs us that we are fools if we trust in our own minds and that we are wise to seek proper counsel.  Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered. (Proverbs 28:26)

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. (Proverbs 12:15)

What is proper counsel? Proper counsel is not found in the way of the world nor is it found in spiritists and fortune tellers. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked… (Psalm 1:1)

Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God. (Leviticus 19:31)

Proper counsel is found in the Word of God, through prayer, and through fellowship with believers in the Body of Christ.  Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. (James 1:5)

Where do you turn to seek advice, counsel and direction? Do you rely on your own wisdom and experiences? Does your day start with reading the daily horoscope based upon your astrological sign? No decision you have to make is insignificant before the Lord. Your Father in heaven will not be bothered by your seeking His direction – in fact He welcomes your prayer.  Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Luke 11:9)

Our daily walk is one of continuous decision-making; therefore, we should walk in His abiding presence seeking His direction throughout the day.  Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! (1 Chronicles 16:11)

May the Holy Spirit fill you with discernment to know the Lord’s guidance in all your decisions.

Sword of the Spirit – No Substitute #1004

SWORD OF THE SPIRIT                                                                          1004

“No Substitute”

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:2-3

I am a firm believer in the adage that ‘Every solution creates a new problem to solve’. For example, when we substituted artificial grass for natural turf playing fields, we solved the turf maintenance issue but created the new problems of physical injury to the players. Other ‘solutions’ that created new problems are artificial sweeteners, pesticides, and Genetically Modified Foods.

Mankind’s desire to find substitutes began with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God’s Word is timeless and clear about this topic.

No substitute for God. – Note what is happening in the world today relative to the New World Order and the One World Religion. I am the Lord your God …You shall have no other gods before me. – Exodus 20:2-14

No substitute for our Savior – Jesus said to him,“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

…And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. Matthew 24:3-5

No substitute for the Truth of God’s Word. – They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. – John 17:17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness – 2 Timothy 3:16

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 2 Timothy 4:3-4

No substitute for your spouse. – A term I hear often is ‘work wife’ referring to a frequent close relationship between male and female coworkers. This is a dangerous relationship that can open the door to sin. Be friendly, but keep your distance from the opposite sex. …and give no opportunity to the devil. – Ephesians 4:27

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28

No substitute for natural relations (Romans 1:25-27). – God instituted gender and marriage between one man and one woman – period, end of story. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. – Genesis 1:27

May you accept no substitutes for the Truth of God’s Word.

Sword of the Spirit – Anointed and Sent #1003

Sword of the Spirit                                                                                                       1003

“Anointed and Sent”

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; – Isaiah 61:1-2

This prophetic word from Isaiah refers to the Messiah. Jesus confirmed this passage at the start of His ministry when He read from the scroll and declared this Scripture to be fulfilled. And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” – Luke 4:17-22

Jesus’ ministry lasted approximately 3 years. So what happens after that? Who is the Spirit of God upon now? Who is anointed and sent as Jesus was now? The simple answer is, we are.

During His ministry Jesus set the stage by anointing and sending first the twelve (Luke 9:1-6) and then later the seventy-two (Luke 10:1-17) to minister. After Jesus had ascended into heaven, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit gave a fresh anointing to send the apostles out to carry on the ministry of Jesus. (Acts 2)

Are we not also anointed and sent? Contemplate for a moment on the awesome truth of the Word that the fullness of God was in Christ and that the fullness of Christ is in us.…For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell…; …to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…- Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:11-14

The fullness of Christ in us is truly a treasure not to be taken lightly. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. – 2 Corinthians 4:7

Far too many of us have allowed the world and the things of the world to choke out the Truth and power of the Word of God in our lives. We are like foreign diplomats behaving badly and then declaring diplomatic immunity by the Blood of Jesus. This is a disgrace to God’s grace for us.

As citizens of heaven we are sojourners here on earth and we need to hold loosely the things of this world and not allow the lust of the flesh to hinder the ministry of Jesus through us. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. – Philippians 3:20; 2 Corinthians 5:20

The church is much more than a structure. We are the church, the Body of Christ and as such we are each called to be anointed and sent to be salt and light in this dark world.

May the Holy Spirit anoint you, equip you and send you to carry the Truth of the Gospel to those whose hearts He has prepared to receive it. May you carry the light and love of Christ to everyone you meet wherever the Lord leads and sends you.

May you be the church.

Sword of the Spirit – Fuller’s Soap #1002

SWORD OF THE SPIRIT   1002

“Fuller’s Soap”

“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.

But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. -Malachi 3:1-2

Here Malachi prophesies of the first and second coming of Jesus. These two verses are rich with spiritual nourishment.

I send my messenger – This refers to John the Baptist who will herald the way for Jesus’ ministry.

…prepare the way before Me. – Note that the ‘Me’ refers to Father God. Here, Jesus and the Father are declared to be one. Jesus stated this also:  I and the Father are one.” -John 10:30

…the messenger of the covenant…he is coming… – Again this is a reference to Jesus as the messenger of the new covenant. …He (Jesus) is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance… – Hebrews 9:15

…who can endure the day of his coming…– The theological consensus is that this refers to the second coming of Christ. “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.- Matthew 24:36 The answer to the question posited by Malachi is that those who have been refined and washed clean by Jesus will be able to endure and stand at His second coming.

For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. – Jesus did not abandon us when He ascended into heaven. He is continually interceding for us before the Father and by His Holy Spirit, He continues to purify and cleanse us, The Body of Christ, The Church, His Bride to prepare us for the day of His return…behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

In His Name, the Father sent the Holy Spirit to guide, teach, and convict. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you…And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:–John 14:26; John 16:8

The process of fulling fresh woven wool involved cleaning, bleaching, wetting, and beating the cloth to purify it. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! Psalm 51:2

The process of refining precious metal involved tremendous heat to remove the dross and impurities. For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried…we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance. -Psalm 66:10-12

May the Lord be as a refiner and fuller in your life as He prepares you to stand before Him at the last day, clothed in His righteousness, justified by His sacrifice for you, eternally saved.

Sword of the Spirit – Stopped My Mouth

SWORD of the SPIRIT  1001

 “Stopped My Mouth”

Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. (Romans 3:19)

I used to have a plaque in my office with a prayer that read: “Oh Lord fill my mouth with worthwhile stuff and shut me up when I have said enough.”

Does your mouth need to be stopped? I know mine does. We sometimes speak impulsively only to regret having done so. It is impossible to take back our words once spoken. So what do we do? We speak more words trying to soften the blow or justify what we said. Instead of making things better, the more we continue to speak the deeper into trouble we get. Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble. (Proverbs 21:23)

Sometimes we need to be stopped from boasting. It is in our nature to compare ourselves to others and to boast that we are not as bad as they are. This happens in the context of our faith as well as in sports and in our workplaces. Yet God’s Word is clear: Your boasting is not good… (1 Corinthians 5:6)

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant. (1 Corinthians 13:4)

Sometimes our mouth needs to be stopped from prideful or vengeful retaliation. My wife and I call such words ‘ding-dings’ and we are careful to hold each other accountable for such inflammatory talk. Words can be used as weaponry and when we are verbally attacked, insulted or ridiculed our natural tendency is to use words to strike back and we enter into verbal warfare. We see this demonstrated by children on playgrounds all the way to the upper echelons of our government. There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. (Proverbs 12:18)

God’s Word equally applies to social media communications in use today. Careless words spoken, typed, texted, or twittered are equally accountable to God because God looks at the heart. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)

I tell you, on the Day of Judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37)

We cannot control our words by our own brute force of will. But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. (James 3:8)

Control comes from the abiding presence of God’s Holy Spirit in our heart. Jesus demonstrated such control when He stood before Caiaphas and was falsely accused. May your prayer be as mine: Oh, Lord may my words be seasoned with Your grace and stop my mouth when I have said enough.

B2B Concert of Prayer – Strength to Strength #1000

CONCERT OF PRAYER

Pray Week 1000

arapahoe-pass-trail “Strength to Strength”

They go from strength to strength… (Psalm 84:7)

The image at the left is the Arapahoe Glacier Trail in Colorado. I last hiked this trail in the late 1970’s and I was reminded of that experience by our reference Scripture about going from strength to strength. I recall strengthening myself with a good breakfast before hitting the trail head but by the time I had hiked above timberline I was physically spent. My strength was gone and I labored to put one foot in front of the other. After a short rest and eating some lunch I was restrengthened and able to complete the hike and the return trip to my campground.

In life we continually go from physical and emotional strength to weakness and hopefully back to strength again. This cycle does not need to hold true for us spiritually. God has made a way for us to continually grow in sanctifying grace and power – to go from strength to strength.

Adam and Eve had enjoyed the ultimate abiding presence of God before sin drove them from the garden and separated them from God. Consequently, their physical, emotional, and spiritual strength would wane. …therefore the Lord God sent him out from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. (Genesis 3:23) …and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

But God had a plan to restore mankind to Him. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35) This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.  I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh. (John 6:50-51)

Jesus is the bread of life and by abiding in Him and He in us we can live life in this world going from strength to strength. Even though our bodies will wear out and eventually go the way of all the earth, we can rejoice in the continual growth in spiritual strength that God’s sanctifying power gives us. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.  Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength… (Isaiah 40:29-31)

This seasonal celebration of Christmas is all about God’s love for us given in the person of Jesus. He was born to die for our sins. He came to redeem us and to make a way that we can be reconciled to God – so that we can go from spiritual strength to strength. Through Him we are saved and justified. By His Holy Spirit we are sanctified and will be glorified on the last day.

The celebration of Christmas is much more than a Happy Holiday or even a Merry Christmas. It is a rejoicing in a Holy Day – a day when our redeemer was born. Finally be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. (Ephesians 6:10) Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! (1 Chronicles 16:11)

May you have a joyful celebration of the birth of our savior and Lord!

B2B Concert of Prayer – Holiday Blues #999

CONCERT OF PRAYER

Pray Week 999

holidaybluessnowman1“Holiday Blues”

But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3)

Have you ever had a song pop in your head that you could not shake loose? Recently It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Andy Williams got stuck in my memory during my prayer devotional time.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. With those kids jingle belling, and everyone telling you, “Be of good cheer,” It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s the hap-happiest season of all…

It dawned on me that for many people suffering from the holiday blues that this is not the ‘hap-happiest season of all’. The last thing these people need to hear is to ‘be of good cheer’.

There are numerous root causes of holiday depression. Just the pressure to ‘be happy’ can be a trigger to deepen one’s depression. Others who are lonely have these feelings magnified during the season where the emphasis is on happy family gatherings and togetherness. Think of our service men and women deployed overseas during this time of year. I recall volunteering for extra duty on Christmas Eve when I was deployed in order to cope with the feelings of loneliness. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. (Psalm 42:11)

Many who suffer the blues during November and December have experienced a traumatic, life-changing loss during this season sometime in their past. This is something they never forget and it is brought to their remembrance again every year. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Phillippians 4:8)

If you know someone affected by the Christmas Blues be there for them. Pray for and with them. Let them talk and be a good listener – don’t try to ‘fix’ it. Engage them to be a part of celebration events but do not force them or make them feel guilty if they decline.

If you are one of the many that suffer from the holiday blues there are several suggested coping mechanisms you can try beginning with prayer and meditating on the Word of God. I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. (Psalm 40:1-3)

Choose not to isolate yourself but to engage in the celebration with others. Volunteering to help those who are in need during this time of year is a double blessing for those you help as well as for yourself. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

May the Lord be with you and strengthen, help and uphold you with His righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

B2B Concert of Prayer – Participation Trophy #998

CONCERT OF PRAYER

Pray Week 998

use-participation-300pix“Participation Trophy”

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. (1 Corinthians 9:24)

Participation trophies and awards are a topic of much debate. There are valid arguments made on both sides of the issue. As I read articles about participation trophies it dawned on me that this is not limited to the sports or academic arenas but it also has affected the Christian church.

I have to ask: Are you merely a participant in this Christmas season? There are so many people who are mere participants in Christmas. Sadly, many of them profess to be born again Christians and their participation is limited to festive seasonal church events such as Christmas and Easter. Their hearts are far from Jesus, yet they sincerely believe that their participation level is sufficient for salvation.

Others love to participate in the Christmas season because of its festive, feel-good, gift-giving atmosphere. These participants range from agnostic to atheist to other world religion belief systems. They are of the ilk that replaces ‘Christ’ with an ‘X’ in the word ‘Christmas’ and prefer the term ‘Happy Holidays’ over ‘Merry Christmas’.

Both participant camps have people with expectations of eternal life in heaven based solely upon their participation. For many are called, but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14) This is the closing statement Jesus made from His parable about a wedding feast where the King noticed a man there that did not belong. The man was cast out into the place of outer darkness. (read Matthew 22:1-14)

I have heard people say that a loving God would never send anyone to hell and deny them eternal life in heaven. Indeed, the Scriptures expound about the love of God. The Lord is…patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (2Peter 3:9) …God…desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Timothy 2:3-4)

The Scriptures also tell us that God is just. God will allow us to choose to be condemned to outer darkness if we persist in refusing to repent and accept the free gift of salvation provided through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God…commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. (Acts 17:30-31) …if we deny him, he also will deny us; (2 Timothy 2:12)

Don’t settle in anticipation of a participation trophy with respect to your relationship with Jesus Christ. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven…I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

May you view Christmas as a celebration of God’s plan of salvation for you. May you see Jesus as more than a baby in a manger and see Him as your Lord, Savior, and Judge who will award you a crown of righteousness on the last day. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8)

B2B Concert of Prayer – Rejoice in the Day #997

CONCERT OF PRAYER

Pray Week 997

matthew-11-28-weary “Rejoice in the Day”

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

I am tired. I am weary. I admit it. I have been in the workforce for more than 50 years now and I am ready for something new – something with freedom – something relaxing and enjoyable.

I used to enjoy work and looked forward to the new challenges each day would bring but things have changed. I have changed.

I find that I have little tolerance and patience with the new entitled workforce that I am asked to lead in today’s retail environment. When did a solid work ethic become replaced with a selfish ‘what’s in it for me’ and ‘It’s not my job’ attitude? Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men… (Colossians 3:23)

If you ‘coach’ today’s workforce to hold them accountable, they need to run to their safe place and cry foul. I miss the days when a good Gibbs-Dinodzzo slap behind the head was an acceptable attitude adjustment method. I just want to say, ‘Buck up, Buttercup! You are paid by the hour – work by the hour.’ I am a dinosaur in today’s environment and I am weary.  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

I heard from a friend recently about his coworker that retired at 60 years old and died of a heart attack shortly thereafter. Stories like this only fuel my impatience and anticipation of the day when I can retire – healthy and able to enjoy it. When I began to fret about this, the Lord took me to His woodshed and reminded me through His Word that I am not guaranteed tomorrow in this world. O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you… (Psalm 39:4-5)

God’s Word also reminds us that we must seek first His kingdom and righteousness and not to put a priority on chasing after the desires and things of the flesh and this world. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)

God’s Word then speaks encouragement to the hearts of all of us who are weary and tired and He energizes our spirit with His grace to persevere through each day. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

If you are also weary, I pray that you too will find the strength and grace to persevere and that you will receive encouragement, peace, and joy through the abiding presence of our Lord, Jesus. May you rejoice in the day and be glad in it because each day is the day that the Lord has made for you.

B2B Concert of Prayer – Election Year Prayer #996

CONCERT OF PRAYER

Pray Week 996

election-2016“Election Year Prayer”

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (1 Chronicles 7:14)

Our Father in Heaven, I stand with my brothers and sisters in Christ in this concert of prayer for our nation and this election year. We repent of our sins and our neglect of fellowship with You. We repent for our compromises with this world that have diluted our faith and calloused our hearts against the pure and whole Truth of your Word. We seek your face Lord and humbly ask that you will forgive us and cleanse us from our sin and heal our land.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.  Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. (1 Chronicles 29:11-12)

Our times are in your hand and we acknowledge that You are sovereign, Lord. We trust in you and in your great love and mercy.

For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. (Psalms 22:28)

Father, we pray for the people and the leaders of this nation that by Your Holy Spirit their hearts would be turned to You. We pray that our hearts would be burdened with what burdens Your heart.

We pray for wisdom by Your Spirit in deciding whom to vote for.

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:4)

By the power of Your Name, Jesus we come against the demonic forces that would seed apathy, despair, and confusion into the hearts of Your people. We pray that the Holy Spirit would encourage your people and strengthen them with boldness to stand and be light and salt in this nation and to exercise their faith by voting their faith.

So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:17)

Father we ask that Your Holy Spirit would sweep across this nation as a refiner’s fire and purify us and cleanse us of our iniquity. Bring revival in our nation and return our hearts to you. May revival begin with this election.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! (Psalm 33:12)

May God Bless America!
