SWORD OF THE SPIRIT 1392
“Speck of Carbon”

Thus, the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them…. then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. – Genesis 2:1,7
The Hubble and James Webb telescopes allow us to peek through the window into God’s showroom. Our electron microscopes take us into the intricacies of the atomic level of His creation.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. – Psalm 19:1
Consider the intricacies of how our bodies function – just the fact that two poisonous elements: sodium and chlorine when combined in the compound we call salt (sodium chloride) becomes essential to support the healthy function of our bodies. Science does not support chance evolution. Science points us to our awesome creator God.
Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. – Revelation 4:11
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. – Psalm 139:14
God took the dust of the earth, and He breathed life into him, the first man, Adam. He gave us a soul, a spirit, and separated us from all His other creation.
So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. – Genesis 1:27
Consider that God, the Creator of the universe, wants to be Father to you. He wants you to be His son or daughter.
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens… When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! – Psalm 8
Indeed, what is man that you are mindful of him? What are we but a tiny speck of carbon in this vast universe of God’s creation? Yet He is mindful of us, and He loves us even when we are unlovable, rebellious, and sinful.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life; He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. – Romans 5:8; John 3:16; 1 John 2:2
Consider His marvelous creation and how unique you are among His creation. Consider who God is and consider that He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus to bear the punishment for your sins and He waits patiently for you to repent and return to Him.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. – 2 Peter 3:9
Jesus suffered and died in your place to redeem your soul.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. – 2 Corinthians 5:21
On the third day, Jesus rose again and made a way for all of us through faith in Him to have eternal life with the Father.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”; Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. – John 14:6; 3:36
Jesus extends His hand to you today as He did when Peter was sinking and cried out to Him for help. Are you weary of your sin burden? Jesus says, ‘Come to Me.’ Is there a hunger in your soul for more than the world has to offer? Jesus says, ‘Come to Me.’ Are you uncertain of your eternal destiny and fearful of the signs of the times? Jesus says, ‘Come to Me and I will give you rest.’
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. – 2 Corinthians 6:2
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” – Romans 10:13
Take His hand. Repent of sin, and in faith, call on His Name to be saved to eternal life.
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. – Psalm 98:1
Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe – Hebrews 12:28
He is Risen! He is Risen, indeed!
May this Easter, be the beginning of your new and renewed life as a born-again child of God!
Happy Easter.
