“In The Midst of Trouble”

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. – Psalm 138:7

America is on the brink. Our society founded as One Nation Under God has turned its back on God. Life in America is akin to being tossed about in a dinghy in a hurricane. We are surrounded by trouble and turmoil from the highest offices of our government all the way to Main Street, USA. As a people we are being systematically fractured and pitted against each other based upon race, religion, vaccination status and so on.  The ‘united’ states are no longer a united people. Even our ‘christian’ churches have compromised the Truth of the Gospel and embraced the ‘truth du jour’ of corrupt societal norms.

Where does one turn for help in these troubled times? In whom do we place our trust? Thanks be to God, for His Truth – His Word remains solid and steadfast and He is faithful to protect, preserve, and provide for His children through these days. Seek to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and hold fast to Him in love and the Lord, Jesus will be with you every step of the way.

God’s Word has much to say about the troubled times we are in. Read, meditate, and pray these Scriptural Truths and let the Peace of God that surpasses all understanding take root in your heart.

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. – Psalm 9:9 – Psalm 34:4-6

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – Nahum 1:7 – John 14:1 – John 16:33

Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. – Psalm 50:15 – Philippians 4:6 – 1 Peter 5:7

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

…Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent…“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” – Psalm 91

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Psalm 46:1 – Isaiah 41:10
